Make a Mark With Watermark
Posted by Kira on March 18th, 2012 filed in Crafts, General, Paper Crafts
Most crafty folks that I know have so many supplies they’ve forgotten what they have on hand and even why they once thought those supplies may have been useful. Apparently that is the case with Tsukineko’s VersaMark Watermark. For this month’s Stamp Guild card I used the VersaMark Watermark pad because I couldn’t get the effect I wanted on my cardstock with matching pigment. I was surprised how many people searched for the green pad (I forgot to bring the instructions) and commented that they’d forgotten all about VersaMark’s Watermark.

Break Free of the Humbug!
Posted by Kira on December 4th, 2011 filed in Crafts, Holidays, Paper Crafts
After struggling with this month’s Stamp Guild challenge and producing a number of card flops, err, prototypes, I finally surrendered and made a “humbug” card. It’s not much, and it’s certainly not my overall sentiment, but it did work out some of that frustrating creative block. A brief, diversionary, creative activity free of requirements is a technique used successfully by many people to move past various obstacles. So, when all else fails, take a little detour in whatever direction your crafty hands take you.
