Re-setting WM-6 phones…

…urgh. After 5 days of unsuccessfully trying various methods to make my PC synchronize with my phone again (PC saw it, could navigate from PC through the phone, could manually move files to-and-fro, just couldn’t synchronize via ActivSync), did a hard re-set. Now my contacts are no longer related to the special ringtones and odd things seem to have happened with the phone… or maybe they happened before I did the hard reset. It did take me several attempts to figure out which key was the Send key referenced in the on-screen hard reset instructions.

Blacker than black it is

…old index page posted again… visitors will land there and with persistence navigate to the blog. Noticed I need to work on the code/CSS because it doesn’t display properly in Firefox 3.x… and I’m not sure if it’s the code or my PC setup, but it wants to load an Apple product to play the .wav file and, well, such is simply not available for Firefox. Well, it’s a project. When I get moved I will be quite busy with getting my craft room organized, submitting for publication again (long haiatus there), and cranking code out for fun and profit. In between work, of course, for which I will be travelling a couple of weeks in May, right after I’ve moved. Somewhere in there is a personality overhaul, too. Have a number of self-help books that might help. Oh, and the girlfriend network. Have to figure a way to stay in touch with those not close to where I am moving.

It’s okay to be bad if you’re bad to everyone?

So, a guy completely forgets about seeing his “girlfriend” on a Friday night. When this oversight is brought to his attention not only does he laugh and say that he completely forgot about that, but he tries to convince folks that it’s really okay, he forgets everyone at some point. Huh? Like, if he beats everyone in his family at some point, would it then be okay to beat the girlfriend, too? Wow, I’d heard some men were emotionally retarded, but this includes gross insensitivity and a lack of remedial social grace. The attempt to convince others that this behavior is somehow acceptable is completely outrageous. Considering this person is an educated well-paid–and otherwise stable–professional one has to marvel at the mental gymnastics required to justify being such a boor.

So maybe the theme of my blog will be “Bad Guy Awards”. I give this guy the Extreme Cognitive Dissonance award.
